STRIKE RIOT IN PARIS.
POLICE ATTACKED: MANY INJURED. Up.to tho small hours of tho morning of Juno 7 at a monster meotiiig held at the St. Paul riding -school- in ; central Paris violent speeches were mado against tho Government, and-riotous demonstrations continued in tho streets. ' ■ - - Tho Paris demonstration was organised by tho revolutionary body known as the General Confederation of Labour. Ono of tho speakers declared that tho Chamber of Deputios should bo sot on firo. Others called for vengeance for the death-pf tho two strikers, whom thoy described as victims of a Government as inhuman as the Tsar's or the Turkish Sultan's. On their way from the St. Paul building, tho demonstrators camo in contact with the gendarmos and poljce at the end of tho ruo Sainto Anno, a district famous in revolutionary movements. Tho demonstrators seized tho chairs, tables, bottles glasses of tho cafes and restaurants, and hurled them at tho gendarmos. . Two polico, agents were so badly mauled that they had to bo carried off to a neighbouring hospital; fourteen others wore hurt moro or less seriously by flying missiles. As the'ringleaders belong to the General Confederation of Labour and tho Labour Exchange, efforts aro to be made to induco tho Government to dissolvo tho first-named body, or prosecute those of its members who havo mado the inflammatory, speechos, and to induco the Munioipal Council to cancol its annual subvention to the second. -
