Mrs. Harrison Lee addressed a fairly well* attended meeting at Fulford's . Hall, Brooklyn, last evening in connection with the No? License movement. . She held the audience :in rapt attention for about one and' a half hours, spoke of the great. convention in'' Switzerland last year, at which she was pre- • sent, and expressed satisfaction ,that a. cable. . now reported the total abolition of the manu- :. facturo and. sale' of."'absinthe. She also ' . showed a copy of a placard posted in Paris ' by the authorities'in their efforts to preserve ; public health. ; Interesting diagrams wera shown, dealing with the effects of alcohol. At the close a petition in favour of the bare majority ior No-License was largely signed. The Rev. P. C. Kennie was Chairman. ■ • Mrs. Harrison Lee will continue her lectures to-night in; St. Thomas's Hall, and will also give a lecture in the Municipal ' Concert Hall on Monday night, on "Brides ■of Many Lands." , Seven brides .and twenty •bridosmaids. will lend reality to the lecture, . v and there will also be song and other items.
