CLOSSY HAIR.

At the present moment it Is "essential that. , tho hair should bo glossy (says a writer in the " Argus.',') No matter what style.of coiffure is affected, or what its quality, quantity, or'colour, it is just'as great misfortune if it . does not shine as .to -hare-a .complexion, that' ■ refuses to. do, anything else. ' But the ono can bo remedied in a few minutes', while it is , difficult,to iwnvince a dull head of the necessity of shining., Washing is, of course, of great good to, locks already in. good , condition. Biit there are many whose hair is,as dull as a foggy morning. Still washing is almost always of benefit. But it is the rinsing that is most-important, for tho least bit : of soap left in makes tho hair worso than before., A girl, with luxuriant .tresses will find, when, sho changes' tho rinsing water eight or nine times, that'hor hair, will bo all the bettor for' the process, and it should be dried in sunshine and wind. Going to bed i ; with damp hair is most injurious, and tho commou mistake of twisting it into curlers when it is nearly dry positively takes tho -shine out of it, and defeats its own object. Wave tlw hair when it is thoroughly dried, : and the lindulatioris wilMast days, but wot hair , allowed to dry in curlers frizzes like a nigger's and. straightens in an hour or so. A soft hair brush , also helps to bring on the' natural/polish so much desired, and the best artificial aid to the effoct.is a little good brilliantine. '""" ! ' ;
