THE VICTORIA':' REPORTED "NOT UNDER CONTROL." • On Saturday afternoon the' Huddart Pairker Company's steamer Victoria left.Wellington for Dunedin direct, to, make up the day lost in consequence of her - protracted voyage from' Napier ,to Wellington in a sonth-west gale. On arrival-at Wellington on Sunday the turbine steamor Maori reported passing the .Victoria between Capes Campbell and Farowell, and that the vessel ..was,signalling "not under control." A later report came to hand when the Taluno arrived, from Lyttelton yesterday' afternoon. -She reported passing tho Victoria, 'which was'then undor- way and making, good progress, so apparently: the. breakdown - was only temporary.
