Mr. E. • Bull, manager of the New Zea-latid;-Candle Corripany, mentioned that the tariff-had'not been discussed lately. It had helped the candle industry considerably, and ' now his company's business was approaching that-'of their'record'year. ■ I; Mr.'Ballinger: I can't get enough skilled -Thoy talk about a slump, but I . don't know where it is.' Mr. Bull: .^Vo-can't'get boys. ; Mr. Allen: We have got skilled bakers, but they, won't work I (Laughter.) Some are a bit sorry now. The masters have amplo evidence-as to what little work they had been getting out of the men. .-' 'A:member .referred to bakery classes at tho Technical-School. " ; , '-Mr: Allen said that they would be< commenced ill the near future.-
