Riddoll, S.M., on \ Saturday.) i A young man named Roderick M'Lcnd Chester pleaded guilty to a charge-of disorderly' conduct on Lambton Quay whilst 'drunk, and was convicted'and fined 205., in default seven days' imprisonment. Tho same defendant also pleaded guilty to a charge "of- having used obscone language, and was convicted and fined' £5, in default 21 days', imprisonment.' • "Wm. Jolm Newman, charged with disorderly conduct on Lambton Quay whilst (drunk, was convicted and fined'4os., with tho alternative of seven days' imprisonment. | Hans Simmons was' convicted and fined |10s., in default 48 hours' imprisonment', for, 'insobriety. Two' first offenders ' were each (convicted and fined ss.', in default 24 hours' [imprisonment.
