THE BRITISH TEAM. (by telegraph—press association;) Wanganul, July 10. Heavy rain fell yesterday and last night, but it is now fine, and there are good prospects'of tha ground being iu good order for to-morrow'a match. : The following British team has been selected :—Dyke, Gibbs, Tuan Jones, " Ponty" Jones, Williams, Laxon, Davey, Harding, Dibble, E. Morgan, Down, Hind, Archer, Williams, and .Thomas. Muck iuterest is being taken in tha struggle, and a large number of visitors are already in town. PLAYERS SUSPENDED. .(BY TELEGRAPH —'PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Invercargill, July 10. At a meeting of the Rugby Union to-night, twenty-seven players, members of the Pirates and Britannia Clubs, , who refused to clay in bad weather oil Wednesday, were suspended for the season. The suspended, players include Hughes and Hamilton, New Zealand representatives, who were probable members of tho New Zealand team to meet Britain in tho test match. AUSTRALIAN GAME.
