THUNDERSTORM IN SYDNEY.
Sydnoy, July 10. There was an exceptionally severe thunderstorm, with torrents of rain : and hail, in the metropolitan area during the night. It was especially bad in the western suburbs. The hail—in some cases half-inch lumpslay inches deep, and blocked the tram traffic. Much damago was done by flood water. At the height of the storm the Waverley tramsheds wore struck by lightning'and damaged. AUSTRALIA'S EASTERN TRADE. Sydney, July 10.
