It was alleged that Sunday football was becoming rampau'/and everyone, from the Premier downward,/'as committing Sabbath desecration by Welling; on Sunday and bo forth. The/Council of tho Churches was'in favour oj/imited'itutitn beins'taken.- Tho Anglican' Bishop and Dean Fitchott were willing to fork m conjunction with tho' Presbyterian Church to something to effect an iuippvemcnt. A committee of 12 was appoint to furnish a report on the question. //
