Passing tho bridge the -last' time, Woollara headed Lady Quiz, wliilo Mercury closed up. Lady Quiz, however, led into tho straight, and then came away, and won by four lengths, a length botween tho second and third, horses. Waipu was never prominent, and finished- in tne ruck.
