HARRIERS.

& ' . Ail enjoyable run was held from Kilbirnio on Saturday by tho Wellington Harriers, with a muster of 29 members. A courso leading along tho hilltops and down. to Island Bay, aifd returning through Lycll Bay, was laid by the hares, W. White and C. Lamberg. The pack was dividod into two, tho lirst under Stuart Robinson, having a fivo 'minutes' lead from the second, which was in chargo of tho club captin. Events proved that tho Gtart' was ■ altogether too liberal, and tho second pack, although gaining slightly, remained-second till tho finish. S. Robinson is to bo congratulated 011 his fine showing, seeing, that two years have elapsed sinco ho last took part in a club run. The "run in" at tho finish was won on tho tape by H. J. Pollock from F. Wilton, C. L: Turnbull being third. Entries for tho Palmer Cup Race, to bo held at Miramar close next Saturday, and it is expected that tho event will bo contested by every activo club member. The distsneo is about three miles,'and tho handicaps are sealed until tho conclusion of the race. The present holder of tho cup is 11. A. Lamb, who, should ho win on this occasion, will become its possessor. Tho next club run will bo held from Karon.
