There was a good attendance at St. Peter's Schoolroom on Thursday night, when the annual social was held. Tho programme was divided into three'parts, and began with a short concert. Misses Teychenne and Simpson played a pianoforte duet, Mr. R. Blow, Miss G. Hore, and Miss Churchward gave songs. ' Thbro were, -recitations by Miss Cohen and Mr. Lilliorap, and a duet by Messrs. Lillicrap and Wood. An excellently acted comedietta entitled "Love in a Railway Carriage" followed. There wero only two characters, the parts being taken by Miss Aggie Samson and Mr. J. M. Samson, whose performance was much appreciated by the audience. The third part of the evening's entertainment was occupied by various amusing competitions.
