Tlio. visitors made a good fight, but, not having settled to their stride, were out-matched. In the early stages, playing against a stiff breeze, they hold their own, securing first blood, a clover try by Goodbehere, which was not converted. | Sydney then got to work. Sydney again took charge and ran the scoro to 22 beforo tho New Zealandcrs had another look in, Goodbehere securing Lis second try. Tho shot at goal failed. From this out Sydney had all tho best of tho game. In the second spell Haira secured a try for the Maoris, and Hardcastle added a second try for Queensland, the match- ending: Queensland, 6; Maoris, 5.
