I hope it may not be long deferred. Permit mo to convey through you ,to the Irish Parliamentary Party my heartiest thanks for the flattering resolution of January 16, which they, were pleased to, adopt, and for the' beautiful casket in which that resolution was forwarded to me. The many friends' of the Irish cause in ■ Australia- are deeply grateful for your recognition of their 'earnestness and in sustaining that .noble cause, and o'*' iheir unflinching devotedncss to the Irish Parliamentary-Party.
