"HAVINC A JOLLY TIME."
As a reporter climbed the stairs leading to the Trades and Labour Council cliambors last night he heard tli-o .sound of a loud male chorus singing a popular song. This was followed by a solo, and then another, to which loud applause was given. "What's tho matter?" the reporter inquired of Mr. Collins, secretary of the Bakers' Operatives' Union. "Go in and see for yourself." he replied. " They're having a jolly time. The pressman'opened the door and looked in. There were the strikers, sitting on forms, listening to the son<*s. - " Is this to keep their courage up? " asked tho reporter. _ "Ohl no 1" replied Mr. Collins; " this is just a prelude to the meeting." " iSvo bakers—members of > tho. Master Bakers' Union—have signed the agreement. That makes six altogether,".said Mr. Collins! He would not give thoir names. The picketing still continues. The men loavo in twos about midnight and! remain on the watch until about three o'clock. The statement that two members of tho Slasters' Association had signed the agreement was referred to Mr. Allen, who denied it. He .said, that he was sccretaty of the .Union, and ie knew notiuna of it.
