THE TOUCH THAT TELLS.
Among the little details of the Parisienne'a toilette, a few of tho novelties wliicli have appeared lately are the enormous egg-shaped hatpins, upon which some women have their motto set in jewels, and tho sunshadehandles with heads of little animals or birds; somo of which open, to disclose a powderpuff or a bonbonniere. Gloves by the way, are all in suede or peau de Saxe. Many of tho waistbolts are so shaped as. to form a sort or corselet, .and the prettiest aro in velvety leather with a buckle designed purposely for the wearer by her favourite artist in tlio decorative arts. .In. fact; it is one of the admissible refinements in dress .nowadays that no woman who has tho time and money should wear any ornament that has not some spccial raison d'etre, either because of its pur'o artistic beauty, or for its combined beauty' and usefulness.
