At Mount Cook Police Court yesterday, beforo Mr. T,-.S. Lambert, J.P., Jeremiah' Tooney pleaded guilty to having been drunk and disorderly, the accused had a considerable sum of money on him when arrested, and tho presiding Justice told him . that the constable had done him a good turn in nrrcstin? him and thereby saving his money, which ho admitted that ho thought was lost. Accused wao fined 205., or seven days' in gaol A first offender was convicted and discharged.
