Tho time for receiving the names of Civil Servants who wore employed previous to tlio operation of the Public Service Superannuation Act of last year, and wish to participate in the benefits of, the Superannuation Fund,- !- terminates 1 to-day., It is understood, says the '.'Times," that a few. days ago the total number., of names received in ,the Dominion, was about 6000. On June 16, when thovot-' ing list for- the election of the - first Board controlling the fund closed, about .4600 nani'es were registered. It is impossible to . say without access to tho Wellington centre hew many Christchurcli Civil Servants aro on the voting list, but it is stated that witliout exception all havo sent in-their names. The Ciyy Servants' Association has issued ,a "ticket',' in connection with the election of the three members to bo chosen by tho Civil Servants, nominating Messrs. R.'W. Bishop (Christchurch), G. Allport (Wellington), and'H. K. Spenco (Auckland)-as its favoured candidates. There . aro fourteen nominations altogether. No difficulties seem to havo arisen hero in connection with the matter, though some reference has been made to the closing of tho voting list for. the'election ou June 16, a. fortnight boforo the compulsory last receipt\of names.
