Yesterday's meeting of tho Trustees of the Benevolont Institute was attended, ■ by. tbo Rev. W. A. Evans (chairman), Mrs. Darvall, and Messrs. A. 0. Pearce, J. Smith, and D. Robertson. , On tho recommendation of tho Finance Committee, accounts amounting to £lG0"17s. Bd. wore passed for paymonti The number of inmates at, , tho Ohiro Hbmo was'reported by the master (Mr. Trticbridge) to be 04, tho same as for the previous week. . A letter was received from tho Westpori Coal Company offering a donation of fivo tons of C'oalbrookdale coal to be distributed by tl.n Board. A motion, was passed according the thanks of the Board to the .Company. " The appointment of a sub-matron for tho Ohiro Home was considered by the Board in committee. Tliero were three applicants for the position, and after discussion Miss M'Kay was selected. Applications for relief werb also dealt with.
