SYDNEY. - The Union" Company's steamer Maheno, ■which left;Sydnoy. for' Wellington at 7 o'clock on Saturday evening," is due here to-morrow morning. The vessel is bringing 6S saloon and 87 steerage'passengers; RUAPEHU DUE WEDNESDAY. Cable advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the steamer Ruapehu, from London via Capetown, continued tier voyage from Hobart for Wellington at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning. The vessel is expected to reach Wellington ' to-morrow afternoon.
.KAIKOURA AT AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kaikoura, now at Auckland, has 2001) tons of general cargo from London to land at the Northern port, also 791 packages k explosives. The balanco of her cargo, including 1000 packages of explosives, is for Wellington. The run out from London was uneventful. Captain A. W. STEAMERS; FROM NEW YORK. An arrangement has been made between the American and Australian Line and the United States and Australasia Company .whereby steamers will be i dispatched from New York to New Zealand ports, via Melbourne and Sydney, regularly every threo weeks for tho future. The last steamer to leavo was the Jeanara on Juno, 10, and she mil be followed by steamers leaving on July 1, July 22, August 12, September 2, September 23, October 14, November 4, November 25, and December 10. It is intended to dispatch the vessels according to these dates, irrespectivo of whether they are full or not. The next dispatches will be the Briez Izel, 5097 tons, Captain Launay, on; July 1, and tho Clan Matheson, 4775 tons, on July 22.

Tho Hinemoa completed her work ,at the Cook Strait lighthouses yesterday, and left for the French Pass and Tory 'Channel to clean buoys at tho Pass and in 'the Sounds.
