The members of the above club met on Juno 24 to compete .for Tucker's (Wellington) Trophy, firing seven rounds each at 500, 600 and 800 yards, with an optional sighter. Thero was only a fair attendance, owing to the bad weather, ; which was also responsible 1 for the poor shooting. The following are the scores:— . ... ,500. ', 600 ' 800 Hp. Ttl. yds. yds. yds. F. Herbert required a hit to win with threo shots to 1 go, but as it was practically dark he did not succeed in finding the target with,,eithor shot. . Tho competition for this trophy'has become very interesting, as one mernbor has threo wins to his credit and two' otU/tfs two each, and as there are three moro shoots to bo dccidcd the finish may be a closooiie.
