MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

A largo audience'assembled at the Missions to Seamen's.lnstitute ou Friday night, when tho weekly ambulance meeting took placo. The Missioner (Mr. James Mooro), who occupied the chair, spoko in reference to health matters, and also gave several useful hints relating to accidents. Competitions in connection with ptomaine ■ poisoning and fires were held, and won by sailors from tho W akanui and Cornwall. An enjoyable programme of music was provided by the Misses Meek, tho following contributing items:— Misses E. Meek, D. Meek, Messrs. Tingey, S. Tingey, and Willis. Miss E. Meek presided at tho piano. Several gramaphone selections were contributed by Mr. Birch. The performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. 1 •
