SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.

The committee of tho Sunday School Union met last evening, the president, Mr. J. G. W. Aitken, bemg in tho chair. The To Horo Methodist School was recoivcd into the Union. An application for a diploma of honour for a superintendent' who had been in Sunday school work for 33 years was sent on to tho London Union with tho committee's hearty endorsement. It was decided to ask tho following to act as supervisors for the examination to bo held next Friday;—Willis Street School, Mr, R. B. Davis; Clyde Quay School, Mr. G. B. Gauld; Newtown School, Miss Craig; Brooklyn School, Mr. Ilopkirk; Bowen Street Sunday School, Mr. W. G. Holdswortli. Over 1000 scholars havo entered for tho , examination', quite a largo number coming from country schools, who will hold their examination on tho samo day in their own, buildings.

A committee was set up to try and make arrangemonts for the public distribution of certificates as well as prizes, only tlio latter having been publicly presented hitherto. Mr. Tiller brought up Iho mailer of tlio blackboard classes conducted by the Technical School, and tlio committeo derided to oiako thorn moro widely known, so that more teachers should take advantage of them.
