Tho matter dealt with was the roplr reooived from tho Tramway Board to tlx ; Union's representations protesting against the Board's now system which is being tried forvthree months, under which conductors, surplus cash is considered tho property of thf Board, And conductors are called upon t< mako up any deficiencies by finding the samt out of their own pockets. , . Tho Board's reply to the Union's protest was oontsined in tho report of the Staff Committee, submitted at tho anniial mooting of tho Board on Monday last. Tlio report showed that since tho inception of tlio nofl system tho amount of deficiencies and sur* , pluses had decroasod. .
