Further particulars aire to hand of the tragedy at Blackwood, where Yvillimn Pincombo,"" a miner, shot dead on Anglican lay reader named Robinson, and subsequently shot at a constable, who fired back, seriously wounding Pincombo. It appears that Pincombo concoived a hatred of clergy through his wife being a lunatic, suffering from religious mania. She was released from an asylum ns a probationer, but was recommitted, having during her- release chopped ofE her right hand be;auso it had offended hor. .
Pincombo had sont threatening lotters to a local Catholic priest.
