Method.—Make a plain sponge cake mixtnre with 1. or 2 eggs, and then flavour it with lemon., Cut up 3 or 4 apples, chop and sugar them, and then put them into a pie-dish with the sponge mixture on top. The apple' may be flavoured .-.with. the. grated rind and juico of a lemon, or with quince, cloves, or passion fruit. FOR TO-MORROW. Inpedient3.-Celery, l pint of milk, leg of mntton, parsnips,' onion, and vegetables for the .soup, red currajit jelly, potatoes, 2oz. of suet, dripping, ; or;,buttor, candied peel,' one lemon, one egg, marmalade^
