SCHOOL, SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
A mooting was held yesterday afternoon at the Education Board's rooms, ill'connection with the formation of a Public School Sports Association. The meeting was called by tho Public School Cricket Association, and the following delegates were present:— Messrs. F. liempleman, J. Fanning, IS. Look, W. A. Baskiville, S. J. Binning, and R. Darrooh (secmtary). Mr. Daruoch explained that there was no constituted Tennis Association, • and thus it could not bo represented at tho,? mooting." Personally he was very much in' favour of such an association as it was proposed to form. Ho would also like to see the various other sports represented. Mr. Hcmplcman was appointed chairman, and Mr. Darroch secretary. Spoakors were cordially in favour of tho proposal, and it was docidcd, on the motion of Mr. Fanning, seconded by-Mr. Binning: " That, in. the opinion of this conference, it- is dosirable that a Schools' Sports .Association should bo formed to control all branches of school sports." Tho motion was carried unanimously. Tho Chairman suggested that' any branch sport which comprised-four teams (enough to niako a competition) should bo entitled to send two _ delegates to'tho Sports' Association This was discussed and agreed to.
