: 9 SOME OF THE PRIZE-WINNERS. (BT TELEGRAPH —mESS ASSOCIATION.) Duncdin, June 18. '■ Tho Dunedin Fanciers' Club's Show was opened' to-day. Tho entries totalled 550, a considerable increaso on last year's figures. Tho Judge expressed tho opinion that tho black leghorns exhibited were tho best yet shown in-New Zealand. In wyand.ottes, splendid birds were shown by Messrs, Doublo and Wilson (Invercargill), and Mr. F. L. M'Gregor (Fairlio). Competition was keen in bulldogs, cocker spaniels, and fox-terriers, some splendid animals being shown. Mr. A. li. Nicholls (Christchurch) won in tho novice and open bulldog classes, and Mr. T. W. Richmond (Christchurch) was successful in cocker spaniels. The South Island Wyandotte Club's special prizes wore awarded as follow:—Silver wyandotto, cock, Messrs. Doublo -and Wilson; silver wyandotto, lieu, Mr. F. L. M'Gregor; cockerel, Messrs. Double_ and Wilson; pullet, Messrs. Doublo and Wilson; golden wyandotto cock, Mr. F. C. Hack; cockerel, Mr. A. Kerr; pullet, Mr. W. J. Omand. Mr. G. H. Blaii -s secured prizes for white wyandotto cock, hen, cockerel, 'and puljot, and Mr. H. Roberts was first in partridge wyandotto cock, or cockorel, and hen, or pullet; best in any other variety of wyandotto, Mr. J. C. Wilson; gold modal for best wyandotto in Show, Mr. F. L. M'Gregor. At tho half-yearly mooting of tho South Island Poultry Association ail appeal by Mrs. Symons (Christchurch) against tho decision to the Orpington Poultry Club, re tho award at last year's Invercargill Show, was upheld. Tho question of judges refusing to award championships when they considered oxhibits did not morit such distinction was referred to tho annual mooting. At a meeting of, tho New Zealand Orping. ton Club it was decided to disband, owing To lack of support.
