A claim for £2000 compensation was brought by Henry William Louis Fuller today against the Auckland City Council at the Supreme Court for taking his houso and land, which was required for tho purposes of tho Grafton bridge. After ovidonce by the valuers, tho Court reserved its decision. In tho.courso of tho case Mr. M'Gregor, solicitor, remarked that everyone knew that the Government valuations wore very low. Mr. Justice.Edwards: And sometimes thoy aro monstrously and preposterously high. Wellington is over-assessed. There is not a shadow of doubt in my mind about that.
