At the Royal Horticultural ' Society's Show in connection with the Franco-llritish Exhibition, in the colonial fruit exhibits, tho New Zealand Government'; With" its exhibit of one hundred varieties of apples and poars, won the Society's gold medal. Mr. Blakeway, of lliccarton- Ohristciiurchj(apples), won tho silver Banksian medal. •Messrs. Clarke Brothers, of Whangarei (preserved fruits), J. Anderson, of Adelaide (apples), and the .West Australian , ment (grapes) won Silver Knightian medals.
