The Prime Minister has telegraphed to Mayors of all the cities and boroughs in the Dominion asking whether their towns would bo willing to each send a flag or banner for exhibition in Auckland during tho week the American fleet is there, with tho idea of showing that a cordial welcome from every part of Now Zealaiid is extended to the visitors. Chrlstchuroh, June 12. The Mayor has received a telegram from the similar to 'that sent to tho pther Mayors of the Dominion, asking tho Council to arrange for a flag to be sent to Auckland on the arrival of the American fleet, on behalf of the city. Tho flag, it is suggested, shall bear the words, "Welcome from Christcliureh."
