Green, aged';2B'.yearSj has; been sentenced to death for ithe murder of Lillian Bridge, aged 16 years, on April 14, at Allandale, near Maitland. Tho jury recommends the prisoner to mercy on tho ground of insanity. ■ The murder, a particularly brutal one, has been previously described.'' Prisoner, oil arrest', showed remarkable coolness. He is son of a' vigneron, for whom tha deceiised girl was wcirking at Allandale.
