MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

There was a crowded audience at the Missions to Seamen Institute last night, when Mr. Phil' Nathan provided an enjoyable concert. ■ Iho chair was occupied by' the Missioner. (Mr. James Moore), who spoke Temperanco question. Eleven men. took tho pledge. A conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. Miss K. Lawson was entrusted with the musical arrangements,, and a most attractive programme was provided. Tho following contributed items: —Overture, Miss C. Fitzmaurice; song, Mr Warren; song, Miss Cathie; recitation, Mr R. Mmr; song, Mr. A. It. Cattanacli; songMiss Evans; recitation, Miss M. Tonks - song, Mr. C. Johnson; recitation, Miss May Mason. '. Miss Fitzmaurico presided at the piano. Several very popular-choruses were sung by tho men present, in good style. -
