Peach Curl. ihe leaflet on peach curl is specially opportune, ..for the present is the time for applying the winter .treatment prescribed .by Mr. Kirk. This writer says:—"The disown ives through the winter on the buds and J thus ■scions and buds from a diseased tree will carry the disorder intolocalities where it was previously unknown. ..... All prumngs and leaves ' from diseased trees should, be raked up . and burned, especially in nurseries. Bordeaux mixture, properly made and applied, will check _ the disease. Soon after the leaves have fallen, prune the tree and burn leaves and prumngs ; then spray the tree with Bordeaux mixture, using the 10-10-40 formulathen, again just .as the buds are swelling! spray with the same formula. In the spring just after the petals have dropped, a third r y ; n J^T ,d appHed, this time: using the 4-4-40 formula;;or, if tho foliage appears to be very delicate, uso a still weaker spray, such as the 4-4-50. Excellent results havo attended the substitution of the lime-salt-sulphur spray for the winter dressings and its use is to be preferred if the trees arc affected with scale."
