The minors refused to work, and obsorved tho day as a holiday. At tho timo appointed for the salo thoro was a largo attendanco at tho hall to watch tho procetxlings. Tho articles submitted wero three bicycles, three sewing machines, chest, and other furniture, Tho balliif asked for bids, exhibiting tho goods to tho best advantage, but buyers wero scarce. 'Tho wholo matter was treated as a lingo joko, and oventually tho lot was knocked down for twclvo shillings and sixpence. | .
