Theso contests should form the features of a boxing carnival which it : s proposed should take place during "Fleet Week." The Auckland Racing Club will probably hold a special race meeting on August 12. Christchuroh, Juno 9. The Hon; J, Carroll, Nativo Minister, has issued instructions that tho bi» canoo Tahcretikitiki is to bo returned to Auckland so that : it may be uscd'in connoctiomvith the reception to tho American fleet. . It was originally brought from Auckland for the Exhibition, and at the close was placed in the G'hristclmrcli Museum for safety. It was not given t-o tl'.c Museum authorities, and is simply being returned to its owners.
