Through tho bursting of a boilor tube on tho United States cruiser,Tennosceo (14,500 tons, 22.1 knots) off Sail. i'edro (a coastal town, of California, twenty-iivo milos from Los Angelos), four men were killed and ten were injured. .The Tennessee was one of the two armoured cruisers .which formed tho advance guard of tho Pacific fleet, starting for tho Pacific some time before tho main body of warships.
