EMPLOYEES' GRIEVANCES. ' : [BY TELEGEAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION",] Christciiurch, June 7. At a meeting of the tramways employees' the grievances against tho Tramway Board . wore. further considered. The Executive Committee recommended, in connection with tho appointment of outside persons' as inspectors, that an application bo made to tho Arbitration Court for the enforcement of Clause S of the industrial agreement, which provides that jn making appointments the Board shall give preference to emplti.V'OS lower, in rank in the department concerned, provided all things aro equal. Tho committee also recommended "that a; most em-, phatic protest be entered against the Board's arbitrary determination to lay claim to surplus monies paid in , by conductors whilst deducting all shortages from theii pay, and unless the Board reconsidered the matter tho Union will take necessary stops v to enforce tho rules regarding overcrowding cars." The Board is given till June 19 to 'give its decision. '
