The North Island Brass Band Association, at a meeting last night, agreed to the 190S contest at Hastings being held from Februarj 17 to 23. ! A LOAN OP £100,000. ' Auckland, Juno 4. At to-iiiglit's meeting of the City Council, a proposal was submitted for a loan of £100,000, including £40,000 for two new reservoirs, and about £50,'000 for street improvements. TOURIST INQUIRY OFFICE. Napier, June 4._ The Government have accepted the Napier Borough .Council's offer to establish a tourist inquiry office, here, with ni\. officer ef the council to attend to it, free of cost to tho Government.
