Speaking to a reporter this evening' with roferenco to tlio subject of parliamentary representation, the Prime Minister, replying to < statements made by Mr. 'James-Allen, said ho was quite'willing to ask Parliament to adjust electoral boundaries so as to leave the South Island as at present, with an additional six sefets for tlio North ■ Island, provided Mr. Allen could get the Leader or the Opposition to agreo to support and help tlio proposal. At the- Farmers' Union' Conference to-day a motion was passed as follows:—That as it is largely in tho interests of the farming community throughout tho ' Dominion that tho boundaries of tho electorates remain as at presont, this confereuoo requests tho Colonial ' Council to interview tho Premier and tho Leader of tho Opposition to uso their influences to havo tho boundaries of tlio electorates left as at. present.
