Tho clauses of the Christchurch award respecting probationers' wages, efficiency spcod for journeymen; and general conditions liavo been incorporated.. Tho Christchurch. preference clause has boon embodied in the award, which comes into forco on Juno 22 • and continues until October 1, 1910. ENGINE-DRIVERS' AWARD. , / Auckland, Juno 2. Tho Arbitration Award in the enginedrivers' dispute provides for 48 hours a week, I overtime at time and a quarter for the first three hours, and time and a half thereafter. A driver, of a stationary ehgino in charge of any boiler shall, inclusive of .the time occupied in getting up steam, receive 10s'. a day where ho holds a first-class certificate, and 9s. if ho holds a second-class certificate. For locomotive, traction, ■ and winding en-gine-drivers, irrespective of certificate, 10s. por day is to bo paid, but tho Award does not apply to' workers under any existing Award. , '

CHRISTCHURCH SITTING. Chrlstcluirch, Juno 2. Tho Arbitration Court will sit at Christchurch on Juno 15. -Tho list of business comprisos applications for enforcements of award, disputes for hearing, applications for interpretation of award, and compensation cases. Tho latter involves claims amounting to £2100. ' Thirty-thrco enforcement cases have been filed for Ashburton, where tho Court may also sit.
