TARRANT'S BOWLING. OY TELKORArn —PftF.Sl, ASSOCIATION—COPYBIOm London, May 31. In tho cricket, match Marylebone v. Cambridge University, F.' A'. Tarrant, formerly of Victoria, took seven wickets for 46, including the hat trick. - . Tarrant, with tho above performance, and his recent 157 against Hampshire, seems to bo bidding'fair to retain the.title given him by Wisdon of "best all round-cricketor" for last season. Wisdon deals with Tarrant and the South Africans,. Sellwarz and Vogler, in consecutive articles, which makes interesting reading. In R. E. Foster's opinion Vogler i 6 at present the best bowler in the world. Tho only fault that Wisden can find with Tarrant's batting is undue caution; as to .his bowlingleft hand, slow. .. to medium, pace—"he only needs a little more sting on fast wickets to bo'gredt.""H6 is deadly on a''wicket damaged , by rain.
