June 1," 9.55 p.m.) Cairo, June 1. ■ The death sentence .passed ; on twelve accomplices of Abd-el-Kader in tho murder of the. deputy-inspector of tho Blue Nile province (Mr. Scott-Moucrieff), has been com'muted'to imprisonment for life, with confiscation of their property. : self-proclaimed prophet who instigated'a rising in the Blue Nile province of ; the Sudan, and who ivas captured after two, European, and two native officors had lost their lives—was sentenced to death on charges of murder and rebellion. ' Ho was executed, and his property was confiscated.
