' ■' .M \ ' ■' ' I ' . The usual monthly meeting, of the District Nursing < Guild connected with, the St. John Ambulaiice Association was held yesterday afternoon, at which Mrs. S. A. Rhodes, AsBOciate'Vof the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, presided. There were also present:— Tlie (Mrs. T. W. Hislop), Mesdimes W. 11. S. Moorhouse, J. P. Luke, and Hi W. - 'Preston, Miss M. ,Higgie, land Mrs. Fisher (hon. sec.). An apology was received for the unavoidable absence of Mrs. W. B. Tripe. The report setting forth the operations carried out'in the district for May showed 4hat 19 additional patients had been registered and 21' discharged. People who wero ill arid indigent' circumstances, received ; 1017 visits . from Nurses Sexton and Macandre\y., : The Committee was pleased to that'a.rlittle:child was rescued from ; a serious accident through the,prompt action of Nurse; Sexton. The Committee acknowledged; with thanks the following subscriptions :t-"A Friend,"'per Mrs. Hislop, £5; Mrs. Burhe, £2 2s:;' "An Old Nurse," £1 Is."; ' "J.S.M.,"' £1; Mr. J.
