MR. M'NAB UNWELL.
♦- - BREAKS DOWN IN A'SPEECH. (BY TELEGUAPH.—SPECIAL COItUESrONLif.NT.) ' ' Msrton, Ma t v 28.. Mr. M'Nab; who visited Oliiilgaiti yes* terday, had a busy day. As soon as ha had had lunch lie was driven out to Sar.don Block, where lie inspected a. Native lease, to find out whether it was suitable for closer settlement. It was a cold and y-.'t day, and the party arrived back at Oliingaiti about five -o'clock, and tlnm the Minis, tor tfas besieged with deputations, mostly of a private character. liis time was fully occupied till eight o'clock, and ho then gave his address in the Public Hall. It' u'as ovident that soon after Mr. M'Nab started his speech he was not in his best form, and later on he almost collapsed, and would probably have done" so but for. the timely interruption of. the Chairman. Mr. M'Nab felt too ill to go 011 with his address, and after supper, had been served lie retired from the hall. During his political career lie has never been placed in' such' an unfortunate position. Needless to say, the greatest, sympathy was shown by his hearers. Mr. M'Nab's condition is much more satisfactory to-day. Lately, Mr. M'Nab has had a groat amount of Ministerial work to perform, and the strain has proved too much for him. Ho has been advised to.take a rest. 1
