THE OFFICIAL REPRIMAND. V Tho mills of the gods grind slowly! Readers well remember that tho Premier recently announced that the decision of tho Government on the findings of the Court of Inquiry concerning certain charges oi: insubordination in the ranks of the Johnsonvillo Rilies was to the effect that none of them were to be dismissed, but that all were to be reprimanded. Having vouchsafed that much, the Government retired into its burrow, as it were.

Sufficient time having elapsed for pill No. 1 to have been duly absorbed, pill No. 2— tho official pill—was duly administered on Thursday evening, at the weokly parade' of the corps. . Captain P.. T..Moore,. 0.C., was present,, and read out, as per instructions, the following order to the men:— , ' DISTRICT ORDER, ' ' ' fly . Liout.-Colonel A. Bauchop, C.M.G., Commanding Wellington District. Dietrict Office, Wellington. May 18, 1903. Discipline. , In regard to the inquiry into a case , of. insubordination in the ! . JohnsonviUe i Rifle Volunteers, held by order of the O.C. District, and the subsequent result, etc., etc. The O.C. Johnsonvillo Rifle Volunteers jvill announce . at the first parade of his. corps, that for this misdemeanour the O.C. District dismissed tho four men to whom the inquiry referred, from the forces, but through the leniency of His Excellency tho Governor (Commander in Chief), this was cancelled with instructions that all who signed the Memorial bo reprimanded.
