(BY telegraph*.—PßESS association.) Auckland, May 22. At tho Supreme Court to-day, Frcderick Summcrs and Stephen -Jones v.-ero indicted oil a charge of stealing from the s.s. Waikaro on May 1» a suit of clothes, a watch and chain, and 7s. Gd. in monoy. tho property of' the master of the, vessel, Captain Burnett. The jury, after a short retirement, found Summers guilty of theft, and Jones guilty of receiving tho stolen property knowing it to liavo been stolon. Both prisoners wore sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment with hard labour. .William Doyle ploaded guilty to a charge of being an incorrigible rogue and vagabond, and was remanded for sentence. William Brown, on a similar charge, was found guilty and also remanded.
