We all dosiro to see British ships manned by British seamen. The difficulties in' the way are manifold. Voluntary attempts at trainmci boys for the sea life havo met with but indifferent success. The conditions of life at sea must bo improved, if we would largely increase the number of British seamen.—London "Shipping World."-
