ACCIDENTS.
. COACH OVERTURNS. tBY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) . . . Nelson, May 21. : A mishap occurred to tho Blenheim-Nelson coach' on tho- Wakapuaka road about two miles from town, this evening. Through the leaders : swerving, tho vehicle' went' over' a slight ombankment at the side of the'road, overturning.. The driver, George Nowma'n, was pinned under the coach, but escaped with severe bruises. There were t-hreo passengers, none of whom wero seriously hurt.' Ono of the horses received injuries which subsequently necessitated its destruction.
• Whilst ..transacting some business in itho premises of Mo3srs. Guthrie, liowron and' Co. yesterday morning a young man named S.Price, a bootmaker • ill Tarnnaki Street, slipped when walking along tho first floor, and fell through a winch well, a distance of about 12ft. Ho fell oil an empty truck and cut bis face severely, besides bruising his side.. Ho was attended to by Dr. M'Gavin. A slight accident occurred to a wharf labourer named George Taylor at half-past si;; last evening. Ho was travelling on a tram-car along Lambton Quay, ami when opposite tho Club Hotel lie got out while tho car. was in motion.. He received a minor injury to his head, and he was taken to tho hospital. It is expected that ho will bo a-blo to return to work in tho morning. . . ' i A lad named Douglas Soulter broko his left arm yesterday morning whilst practising on tho Hpman rings at the Thorndon school.
A single man named Alhort Gundorson, a' sawmill yardman, residing at Drunimond Street,-got 'a foot badly crushed- yesterday morning. He Was admitted to tho Hospital.
