O'Donnell (Liberal), D. A. Thomas (Liberal), F. W. Jowett -(Labour), J. T. Macpherson (Labour), J. O'Grady' (Labour), and A. V. Grayson (Socialist). Although tho Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, was more conciliatory than other Ministers, Mr. .Balfour, Leader of tho Opposition, was unable to elicit more than a promise that tho Government would bo willling to consider suggestions compatiblo with tho fundamental principles of the Bill. '
